Mr. Festeryga was raised in a farming community in Ontario, Canada, before attending the prestigious Upper Canada College in Toronto. Despite scholarship offers to play hockey collegiately, Mr. Festeryga decided to remain in Canada where he attended Queen's University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Minor in Environmental Sciences, graduating with Honors. While at Queen's, Mr. Festeryga walked onto the football team, earning Academic-All Canadian honors, Dean's List distinction, and was a 2009 National Champion.
