Kristy Hoeksema was first licensed to practice law in 1992 in Illinois after graduating from Valparaiso University School of Law, Magna Cum Laude. She is also a proud graduate of Valparaiso University where she received her Bachelor of Art in Political Science in 1989. It was at Valparaiso where she met her husband, Jeff, of thirty years. Now that their three children have grown, they have decided to return to Northwest Indiana.
Kristy’s practice, Spagnolo and Hoeksema, focuses on providing legal services to individuals, families and their businesses. She has had her own practice since 2002 where she has focused on Civil Litigation, Commercial Law, Wills, Trusts and Probate and business matters. She has successfully represented small businesses in multi-million dollar disputes against large companies like Prudential Insurance Company of America and Motorola.
Currently, Kristy is admitted to the Illinois Bar and the Federal District of Northern Illinois and has been since 1992. She has applied to the Indiana Bar of Law Examiners seeking to be granted an Indiana license based upon her years of practice in Illinois but at this time only has an Illinois license and is working on all legal matters in Indiana in conjunction with Jacob Ahler in an “Of-Counsel” capacity.
