Overview
Indigo Kate Diekmann was born in Aspen, Colorado. She returned to her family's home state of Louisiana as a third generation Louisiana State University Tiger. While at LSU Indigo served on the campaign teams of two successful Student Government Association campaigns. She was also an active legacy-member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Throughout her collegiate career, Indigo worked as a swim instructor at Crawfish Aquatics teaching life-saving water skills to children.
Indigo graduated with her Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law in May of 2020 at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. While at LSU Law, Indigo served on the Board of Advocates as the Executive Vice President of External Competitions and the Student Bar Association as Executive Vice President. She also successfully represented LSU Law in four national Trial Advocacy and Moot Court competitions.
Upon graduation she was named a member to the Order of Barristers and the Wex Malon American Inn of Court for her skill in Advocacy and dedication to integrity in the field of Law. She remains an active alumni member of the LSU Law Advocacy Program through assisting students in practice and volunteering as a judge for competitions.
After passing the 2021 Louisiana Bar, Indigo began working as an associate at Cashe, Coudrain and Bass. She is a proud supporter of The Louisiana State University Tiger Athletic Foundation (Geaux Tigers), The Southeastern Louisiana University Lions Athletic Association (Lion Up), and Tankproof - a non profit that gives youth in under-served communities life-saving swim instruction.
Indigo is a member of The Louisiana State Bar Association, The Twenty First Judicial District Bar Association (past Executive Secretary), The Tangipahoa Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals, The Tangipahoa Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee, The Hammond Area Mary Bird Perkins Advisory Committee, and soon to be Member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond.
