Donna DeVaney Stockham is the President of Stockham Law Group. She received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law, St. Petersburg, Florida in 1997 and she was admitted to the Florida Bar that same year. She belongs to several professional associations including the Windstorm Insurance Network where she served as a Board Member for 4 years, the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (FAPIA), Federal Association for Insurance Reform (FAIR), Board of Governors, and Florida Policyholder Cooperative (FPC), Executive Board Member. Mrs. Stockham represents homeowners, boat owners, business owners, condominium associations, hotels, restaurants, churches, and monasteries in property damage insurance litigation claims. Mrs. Stockham is often asked to speak to organizations and associations about property insurance law.

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
