Overview

Brandon Hylton was born and raised in the Pee Dee area of South Carolina and is a native of Kingstree, SC. He attended Williamsburg Academy, and then went on to Presbyterian College. After PC, he attended the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, Brandon was presented with the Sol Siegal Award for his academic achievement.

Prior to Derrick Law Firm Injury Lawyers, Brandon was a member of the defense firm of McAngus Goudelock and Courie. After years of defending insurance companies, he then pursued his desire to represent injured workers. Brandon’s practice focuses mainly on workers' compensation, as he has over 20 years of experience practicing in the South Carolina Workers' Compensation system.

Brandon has been recognized by the Supreme Court of South Carolina as a mediator and mediates workers’ compensation claims throughout the state.

Brandon is active in the local community and is a covenant partner, former Deacon, and current Elder of Florence First Presbyterian Church. He is also a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Florence and current Scoutmaster of Troop 477. He enjoys hunting and fishing and cheering on the Gamecocks and Blue Hose. Brandon and his wife have three children, with the youngest being twins.
