Hired Attorney 2025Do not hire her for any family law services. She does not specialize in family law. She is terrible and will take your money. She is bad. Her assistant Linda is worse. Two peas in one pod. She needs to be reported to the board. She has a bad reputation. She is considered a "milk cow" Elsie the milk cow. She is not results driven. Basically, unethical and will steal your money, She was hired on July 2nd for $3000.00. She went through that money and billed for $721.00 on July 7th 2025. She filed for an appearance before July 4th, 2025. On that following Monday, she had started billing and decided she was going to withdraw after questioning how could she run through $3,000.00 in a couple of days. Then she decided after she withdrew she would give documents that belonged to me to help the individual after withdrawing. Mary Sullivan Moore decided to take the $3000,00 then withdrew off of the case less than a week. She had a meeting behind me and instructed the client she would work with her behind the scenes shadow boxing her. In other words, she took $3000,00 from me only to work with the client behind the scenes as she coaches her to represent herself in court with pertinent documents that does not belong to this client. I am writing the Board and would like report her. She talks a good game, but she is bad representation.. You will regret it.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
