Overview
Katherine has handled probate cases in Knox, Blount, Anderson, Hamblen, Hawkins, Carter, Loudon, Roane, Sevier, Jefferson, Grainger, Union, Carter, and Johnson Counties. Probate cases are accepted for filing in courts throughout East Tennessee. In addition to standard probate cases involving estates that are based either on a Last Will and Testament or intestacy law of Tennessee, Katherine has also represented heirs or beneficiaries in will contest litigation. The firm can also assist heirs or beneficiaries who are not satisfied with the way probate is being handled by a Personal Representative.
The firm litigation practice includes representation of individuals and small businesses. Typical cases involve the dissolution of a business or dispute over business property. We also handle creation of an LLC or S corporation entity for new businesses. Call the office to discuss your particular situation and whether a consultation is right for you. Some types of cases do not have an initial consultation fee, while other types of cases or matters do have a consultation fee.
Katherine is a Rule 31 Mediator under the Tennessee Supreme Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission.
Katherine has practiced in Tennessee for 30 years. She is also licensed in California (inactive).
