During his enlistment, he served in several distinguished units: 1st Battalion, 8th Marines; the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit; 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines; and Ground Defense/Security Forces Leeward Company, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
