Mr. Colpoys has twenty-five (25) years experience as a civil trial lawyer with a primary emphasis in professional, transportation, aviation, and general liability defense. His experience has included the trial of aviation, transportation, product liability, toxic tort, professional liability, premises liability, and insurance coverage disputes. These representations have included major airframe manufacturers, motor freight carriers, fixed-based operators, property owners, property management companies, airlines, attorneys, and dentists, as well as insurers.
In addition to being in practice before all courts of the State of Texas, Mr. Colpoys has also been admitted to practice before The Supreme Court of United States, The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and all of the United States District Courts in Texas. In addition, he is an active member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, the Dallas Association of Defense Counsel, and the Defense Research Institute.
