Jordan Schlinger - Dallas, TX

Jordan Schlinger is an associate at Deans Stepp Law whose practice focuses on civil litigation, including commercial disputes and personal-injury matters. His background combines practical litigation and courtroom experience with technical training in computer science, allowing him to approach complicated facts, records, and technical evidence with an analytical perspective using cutting edge technologies.

Before joining Deans Stepp Law, Jordan managed a substantial docket of automobile and commercial cases at a large Texas personal-injury firm, handling matters from intake through settlement. He also worked in patent prosecution at a national law firm, where he assisted with patent applications and responses to United States Patent and Trademark Office actions involving 5G telecommunications, transistor technology, and other technical fields, giving him a diverse set of experiences.

Jordan earned his Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis in 2025. While in law school, he was named to the Dean’s List and competed on the National Trial Competition Team and the USPTO Patent Application Drafting Competition Team. The National Trial Competition develops courtroom-advocacy skills, while the USPTO competition requires students to analyze inventions, research prior art, draft patent claims, and defend patentability positions. Jordan also earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern New Hampshire University, summa cum laude, where he was named to the President’s List, and a Bachelor of Science in History, magna cum laude, from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Before and during law school, he worked as an LSAT instructor and tutor, an experience that strengthened his ability to distill complicated subjects and communicate them in a much simpler form.

Jordan was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2025, passing the bar on his first attempt while working both as a public defender and a tutor.
