Dallas Truck Accident Lawyer
Overview
With every serious case entrusted to him, Todd tries to fulfill the commandment found in Galatians 6:2 to “help carry one another’s burdens and in this way, you will obey the laws of Christ.” Since he only handles a select few cases per year, clients will usually talk directly with Todd as their case progresses. He personally and promptly returns phone calls, usually the same day. Todd also strives to get to know his clients personally and many lifetime friendships have resulted.
Todd decided he wanted to be an attorney when he was in junior high. He graduated third in his class from law school, received a prestigious clerkship with the Texas Supreme Court and worked five years at a prominent downtown Dallas defense law firm.
Towards the end of his years at the defense firm, Todd was given the opportunity to represent a teenager who received severe brain damage in a truck crash and the widow of a man who burned to death in a crash with a wrecker. Through those cases, he realized that representing injured victims and their families, not defendants and insurance companies, was his life’s calling. Thereafter, Todd founded his own successful personal injury practice in 1995.
Todd has successfully tried many major personal injury cases throughout his career. However, due to his reputation for tireless preparation, assembling a trial team of the best experts and effectiveness in trial, many cases settle without the necessity of trial.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
