Attorney Information
Overview
Layne Stackhouse has been an Associate Attorney with Shrader & Associates, LLP since 2016, and has been practicing law since 2011. She primarily focuses her practice on mass torts, toxic exposure, dangerous drugs, and defective devices. These types of cases frequently bring her face to face with people who have been seriously harmed by entities who were meant to protect and help them. She has dedicated her career to helping these people receive justice, especially in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.
Layne is a very versatile attorney, able to tailor her approach to whatever best suits the case at hand. Part of this ability can be traced back to her varied legal experience. When she first began work as an attorney, she handled a wide variety of cases, including criminal, civil, and family law cases. She was successful across all practice areas, with notable victories, especially in the personal injury and car wreck cases she took on. She found her passion in seeking compensation for those who had been victimized and moved to Shrader & Associates, LLP, where she could focus on more of these types of cases.
Layne is licensed to practice in Kentucky and Texas, as well as in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, the Western District of Kentucky, and the Western District of Wisconsin. She attended Western Kentucky University, graduating magna cum laude, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism in 2007. She then attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, receiving her law degree and graduating in the top fifteen percent of her class in 2010. While there, she took part in the Workplace Justice Law Clinic, gaining an early start in advocating for those in need.
She is an active committee member of the American Association for Justice, and was selected by her peers for inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2015, 2016, and again in 2024.
