Overview
Lena joined the Bowen Law Firm in 2018 as the firm's leading Civil Associate. Her legal practice involves a wide spectrum of areas including, complex civil litigation, business formations, and various transactional affairs. Additionally, Lena represents individuals and families in estate planning, probate, and guardianship matters. She takes great pleasure in helping her clients navigate their legal roadmap when planning for the future, or facing the death of a loved one.
Lena was born and raised in upstate New York. She then moved to Florida where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and earned her Juris Doctorate. While attending law school, Lena worked in the Immigrant & Human Rights Clinic where she advocated for Immigrant rights, fought and obtained lawful resident status for asylum victims, and helped bring families closer together. Prior to joining The Bowen Law Firm, Lena worked for Berry Appleman & Leiden, LLP, one of the largest corporate law firms in the world.
In 2017, Lena became licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. Since then, she has developed various skills and strategies that allow her to effectively represent each client individually. With a vast majority of Lena's cases involving highly emotional and sensitive issues, she strives to achieve her clients' goals while minimizing their re-exposure to pain and grief. While she is an experienced trial attorney who is an aggressive advocator, she prides herself on her ability to resolve her cases outside of the courtroom, as she believes it is the most efficient and cost-effective way to get the best results for her clients.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
