He told me that she used to be a judge and I knew immediately that she would know how to handle my case. After I hired her, my neighbor, who was also a retired lawyer, told me that he knew of her and told me that she used to fight to bring even-fairness in the courts for fathers. I knew that I made the right decision with her. She created a bullet proof case that saved me thousands of dollars avoiding court by settling my case in mediation. Suzanne actions exemplified the prejudice and racial discrimination black males and fathers face in the court systems. I hired her for a modification because my ex-wife was making false allegations and denying me possession. As my attorney, she actively sought to have my possession denied and encouraged the judge to deny me possession without a hearing. My ex-wife was nonsuited, all of the allegations were groundless and frivolous, and it was just a continuation of my ex-wife's smear campaign. Suzanne repeatedly lied to me. Suzanne encouraged me to act like I was crying while she was speaking to the judge. She made obscene and disturbing statements toward me. Suzanne would insult me and would insinuate I must be guilty of something, while I became exasperated with her continuous insinuations and her refusal to advocate for me. My ex got away with child abuse, because of her. She refused to do discovery, it was difficult to prove later because the witnesses I needed were no longer available, and she complained to other attorneys I hired about my review of her, basically torpedoing my case. Stay away from her, I don’t think you could get any worse.

If you use this lawyer you will be throwing you money in the trash and having to deal someone who is unprofessional and unethical. I hired Suzanne again because I trusted her from the first case. I paid a retainer for the child support case and for a separate case for her not returning him when she was suppose to. Suzanne showed up to court not prepared, asking my wife questions about the case and then saying she needed to write it down when she should of know because my wife sent all of this before. To top it all off, the lawyer did not ask for what we agreed on, and presented my contract with notes she took for another case asking for attorney feels but it was invalid because she wrote on it! This was after it being reset 3 times and all that time she wasn't ready. We waiting 2 hours for my ex's lawyer to arrive and none of that time she review my case? Wow. She then says she will do it again free of charge. No! I don't trust you! I asked for a refund for the second case that we hadn't gone to court for yet because I didn't trust her anymore and she decides to be spiteful and refuse and also make up charges to not have to refund me the full amount which was almost 3k. All we asked for was a refund but she decides to not take responsibility and be spiteful and try to make up charges on a flat fee (which she said was a flat fee and I have the email directly from her). She gave us 750 which does not even add up with the “bills” she sent and the retainers we paid. That was money I could use for my case and my new lawyer. Stay away!

Unethical and Unreliable. If you like throwing away thousands of dollars feel free to hire Suzanne. We hired her for a custody case which my husband won because the opposing side had no lawyer. Spent over $11,000. We decided to use her again when my husband’s ex started violating the custody order as well as not paying child support. We paid over 5k for both retainers and when we show up to the child support case the lawyer had NO evidence ready to present (even though we GAVE her plenty), did not ask for bond or probation on the ex (even though she agreed to that MINUTES before we went up there), she was stuttering to the judge and the other lawyer, and to top it off she got our case thrown out because she brought a copy of OUR contract with writing she took for a different case with the opposing lawyer argued it was tampered and the judge agreed. We then couldn’t even present on the second case of her violating the custody order because the lawyer did NOT do all the paper work! To which she replied "we were hoping the lawyer and judge wouldn't notice" RIDICULOUS! After this we no longer felt comfortable with her being our lawyer. So, we asked for a refund on the second part we had yet to go to court for. She refused, made snarky comment about how we’re “lucky you even got custody”, and then proceeded to try to charge us over $2,000 on the child support case after we lost because of her mishandling it AND when we booked it we paid a flat fee. There were supposed to be no more charges. I even have emails of her saying it was just a flat fee of $2,300. She also refused to refund the second part we haven’t even presented on for $2,850 retainer! She lies and does not take responsibility for her actions. She is unethical and unprofessional. Take you money else where and with someone that will actually help you not screw you and take your money.
