Overview
Farah Ahmed is a life-long Texan, having grown up in Houston and started her career in family law in Dallas, and finally settling and starting a family in the Austin area. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and went on to obtain her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 2007.
Farah has practiced family law exclusively since obtaining her Texas law license in 2008, and has practiced in Williamson County since 2009. She knows and understands the judges and courts in Williamson County well. In addition to representing spouses, parents, grandparents and children, Farah is also an experienced Mediator and has successfully mediated numerous family law cases.
Farah understands that the stakes are always high in family law. Even the simplest family law case involves the most important aspects of life-one's closest relationships, parents, grandparents, children, finances and possessions. A judge's decision can have a lasting impact on our clients and their families. That's why Farah is committed to helping her clients navigate the complexities of family law armed with the right information, prudent advice and her compassionate support. She shares Ms. Brown's philosophy of carefully listening to each client's unique, individual circumstance with empathy and sensitivity, and to treat clients as she would wish to be treated herself.
Because of her unique background and skill set, Farah has attracted numerous clients from South Asia, including India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. She respects and understands the cultural nuances and values that are integral to South Asian families. Williamson County, including Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, Round Rock, Hutto and Taylor has attracted many South Asia families. Williamson County is growing rapidly, having attracted numerous high tech companies offering high paying jobs.
Farah lives in the Austin hill country with her husband and 2 young sons and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is fluent in Hindi and Urdu, spoken widely in South Asia.
