Randy was born in Ridgecrest, CA on February 21, 1986. He received his B.A. in History from Brigham Young University in 2012 and received his J.D. from the University of Utah in 2017. During law school, Randy was a judicial intern to Judge Keith Kelly of Utah’s 3rd district court and also interned for the Office of General Counsel at the Administrative Office of the Courts. Following law school, Randy served as a law clerk to Judge Thomas Kay and Judge Glen Dawson of Utah’s 2nd district court for a year before joining Scalley Reading.

In his free time, Randy is an author (writing in several different genres), plays the stock market, and occasionally helps some computer clients from his Best Buy / Geek Squad days. He also travels at least once a year and has been to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, several countries in the Caribbean, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Taiwan, China, and the Philippines.
