Karrie Dodson is an associate attorney at Maddox & Gerock and has been with the firm since June of 2018. Karrie has worked extensively in family law and is acutely aware of her clients' needs, guiding them through trying times and delicate issues with compassion and finesse. Karrie values her obligation to provide her clients with creative and unique solutions and is unwavering in her commitment to pursuing the best possible outcome in all of her cases.
Karrie has worked exclusively in family law for over 14 years. Prior to becoming a licensed attorney in 2016, Karrie worked as a paralegal at a local family law firm. As a paralegal, Karrie was actively involved in every stage of each case, including discovery, preparation of pleadings, settlement negotiations and trial preparation. Karrie amassed a wealth of knowledge in family law over her years spent serving as a paralegal, which has carried over into her career as a licensed attorney. Karrie practices in all of the Northern Virginia venues with the majority of her practice in the City of Alexandria and Fairfax County.
Karrie is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Fairfax Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Virginia Women Attorneys Association, and the Alexandria Bar Association and is actively seeking out opportunities to further her education in family law. Karrie obtained her Juris Doctor from the David A. Clarke School of Law at the University of the District of Columbia. Prior to law school, Karrie obtained a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of the District of Columbia. Karrie is a member of the Nationals Honors Society, as well as the National Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha.
In her free time, Karrie enjoys traveling wherever and whenever she can with her husband and dog. She loves trying new restaurants and attending shows in Washington, D.C. Karrie is an avid baseball fan and can be found on local softball fields several times a week.
