Forest Criminal Defense Law Firm
Overview
Criminal Defense | Traffic & Speeding Ticket Defense | Personal Injury | Family Law | Wills & Power Of Attorney | Workers’ Compensation
I established the law office of Craig P. Tiller Esq. PLLC, in Forest, Virginia, to provide the kind of hands-on, highly personalized legal representation that is difficult to find.
From an initial consultation to the resolution of your case I take the time to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, provide a thorough explanation of your options and keep you informed at every step of the process.
We Emphasize Personal Interaction
I serve as a knowledgeable, assertive advocate for individuals who face criminal charges, including drunk driving (DUI/DWI) or boating under the influence (BUI). I also help individuals who have been seriously injured in car accidents or other incidents recover compensation. I help people protect their rights in a divorce, and if they suffered an injury at work, I help them navigate the complex workers' compensation system so they can be assured of receiving the full amount they deserve.
Overpromising results has become a pervasive problem in the legal profession. It does not do you any good to hear about resolutions to your case that realistically cannot be achieved. My clients appreciate my honesty because it provides them with a good idea of what to expect from the outset.
I am mindful of the smallest details that help me reduce my overhead costs, which allows me to provide affordable representation to my clients.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
