Bellingham Criminal Defense Law Firm
Overview
Advocating for the rights of people in Bellingham, Washington, and throughout Whatcom County, I provide focused criminal defense representation at the Law Office of Robert D. Butler. Whether their first arrest, or they have had prior run-ins with the law, I understand the upset and stress those charged with crimes may be feeling. My office offers the straightforward, yet supportive assistance people in this position need and deserve. I offer free initial consultations and virtual appointments.
For more than 25 years, my law office has pursued justice on behalf of clients facing wide-ranging criminal charges, including the following:
- DUI and DWI
- Assault and battery
- Domestic violence and neglect
- Drug violations
- Sexual abuse and other sex offenses
- White collar crimes
My experience includes representing clients charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses in the municipal, state and federal courts of Whatcom, Skagit and Island counties. The concern I have for those I represent does not end with the resolution of their cases. I continue working with my clients to help them obtain other support and services they need, such as addiction treatment and mental health counseling.
In addition to criminal law representation, I also offer dedicated civil rights and employment law services at the Law Office of Robert D. Butler. Bringing a claim against an employer, the government or another large entity may seem a daunting task. I stand with those I represent, serving as their voice and striving to help them overcome wrongs such as discrimination, wrongful termination and law enforcement brutality. My office accepts credit cards.
