My work with this law firm has been nothing short of amazing. They treat me like family and I'm so happy I chose them to help with my law issues. My kids are very important to me and this firm truly cares.

From the start, they took time to make clear all of my options in a simple way. I felt like I knew what was going on during the whole thing. Their advice made me sure that I was choosing the right things for my family's future. I think everyone should use this firm if they need help and clear information during tough family legal stuff. They did even better than I thought they would. I am really happy that I chose them.

I am continously amazed with this firm and its growth. It started as a 1 an operation and had now grown into a medium sized firm with multiple attorneys and a large legal team for support. This firm is truly passionate about its clients and family law. Great job Levey Law Group.

DO NOT HIRE! This is my personal experience. My personal opinion. This law firm took over 50k from me (90 days). I had 3 separate paralegals representing me at different times. Each paralegal wanted to do something completely different each time I was billed for those different ways and methods. Two different attorneys each attorney wanted to do things differently and each time I was billed separately for each one of those. By far one of the worst decisions I've ever made, was hiring this Law firm for my divorce. I watched someone who costs 5k rip them apart in court. In my personal opinion they did not care at all about what was going on they were just there for my money.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
