Samuel P. Schlewitz - Eau Claire, WI

Overview

Mr. Schlewitz was born and lives in Altoona, WI. After he graduated from Altoona High School, he attended East Tennessee State University and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in teaching. Mr. Schlewitz attended law school at the University of Memphis. He returned to his hometown in April of 2008 and joined Ronald G. Poquette and Sarah M. Donnellan, a family orientated General Practice Law Firm that genuinely cares about their clients.

Sam’s parents met at Altoona High School. His mother, Annette K. Schlewitz, a former All-State gymnast, attended UW Eau Claire and was recently inducted into the University of Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame. She was a coach, school board member and teacher in the community for over 20 years. His father, Alan “Corky” Schlewitz, was an All-State high school athlete and was in sales for over 30 years in the Northwest region of Wisconsin. Sam is an active member of the Lions Club, United Cerebral Palsy, the Eau Claire County Bar Association, the Altoona Housing Authority and loves coaching youth basketball. Mr. Schlewitz also served as the City Attorney for Mondovi from 2014 - 2018.

While Mr. Schlewitz attended Altoona High School, he was All-Conference in golf and basketball. Mr. Schlewitz also played football and ran cross country. While in college and law school he graduated with honors and was a member of numerous extra-curricular organizations. To help pay for his schooling, he worked as a waiter and bartender, but always had time to do lots of hunting and fishing! Mr. Schlewitz is an avid outdoorsman and Packer fan.

Mr. Schlewitz currently handles cases in multiple areas of law including Social Security Disability, Workers Compensation, Estate Planning, Personal Injury, Family Law, and Probate. However, because of his extensive experience of doing well over 1,000 Social Security Disability hearings, it remains one of his largest areas of practice.

Sam is proud of the fact that “The Eau Claire/Chippewa Valley area has always been home to me and always will be.” Mr. Schlewitz truly loves serving the local community and genuinely cares about people, which allows him to build strong relationships with all of his clients.
