Overview
The Madison office of Merchant & Gould opened in 2009, establishing a strong presence in intellectual property law in a city known for innovation and with one of the fastest Federal Court dockets in the country. The Madison office offers a full range of intellectual property services, including litigation,patent and trademark prosecution, and portfolio management and assessment.
Madison is the state capital and home to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, historically the city's two largest employers. In recent years, Madison's economy has exploded with high-tech companies, particularly in health, biotechnology, and advertising.
Our Madison lawyers have extensive litigation and prosecution experience, with particular experience in representation of generic pharmaceutical companies seeking to bring products to market under the Hatch-Waxman Act. We handle all types of intellectual property litigation in numerous jurisdictions across the country, as well as act as experienced local counsel and lead representation in the Western District of Wisconsin rocket docket.
