Overview
Lincoln K. Murphy has been practicing law since 1979 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He has engaged in the general practice of law, including all areas of trial work. His initial employment included working as a trial attorney for Racine County as Assistant Corporation Counsel and then entering into the private practice of law in 1982.
His practice is devoted to personal injury and civil litigation. He has handled thousands of injury claims including those resulting from automobile/motorcycle accidents, dog bites, boat and other recreational vehicle accidents, slip/trip and falls and wrongful death claims and other serious accidents.
He has been admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Wisconsin, the Eastern and Western Federal District Courts and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
He has been certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer Specialist. He achieved this certification by displaying expertise in litigation through documentation and successfully completing an examination and having judicial and peer references. He also has been named as a Super Lawyer by Milwaukee Magazine for 2011. He is a member of the Wisconsin Association for Justice, the State Bar of Wisconsin and Racine County Bar Association. He has been a Circuit Court Commissioner since 1982.
He has frequently been requested to serve as an arbitrator or a mediator in many contested matters.
Murphy Johnson and Trampe S.C. recognizes the obligation to contribute to its community and as part of that philosophy, Mr. Murphy has served on the Board of Directors for the Racine YMCA for a number of years; has served as a Chairman of the Racine Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Racine County Civil Legal Services, providing legal services to the indigent; and was a member of St. Edwards Parish Council. He is a past president of the Racine County Bar Association and served for a number of years on the Board of Governors.
