Grant T. Hawkins - Auburn, AL

Grant joined Akridge & Balch in 2026 after graduating from the University of Alabama School of Law. His practice focuses on estate planning and probate, real estate, and business law.

At Alabama, Grant served as a Student Bar Association senator, president of the Christian Legal Society, and Law School Ambassador. In his third year, he was a student attorney with the Entrepreneurship & Nonprofit Clinic, where he assisted business owners throughout Alabama with formation documents, contract review, and intellectual property applications. He graduated cum laude with three CALI Awards and as a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society.

Before law school, Grant earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University. At Auburn, he was president of Brothers Under Christ Fraternity, a member of the Interfraternity Council Cabinet, and a Youth for Christ Campus Life leader at Opelika High School. He graduated summa cum laude in 2021 with the University Honors Scholar designation and worked briefly as an engineer in Auburn before moving to Tuscaloosa.

Grant is a second-generation Auburn graduate and is excited to return to Auburn and serve the community. He is a passionate Auburn Tigers and Atlanta Braves fan and enjoys reading, collecting books, attending live theatre and music performances, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
