Brandon M. Zimmerman - Birmingham, AL

While at Cumberland, Brandon served as Chair of the Cordell Hull Speakers Forum, Senior Associate Editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and was a member on the Career Development Advisory Board. He also served as a Caruthers Fellow and mentor to the incoming class for Cumberland's Lawyering and Legal Reasoning Program. Brandon was awarded the highest honor of Scholar of Merit in several classes: Secured Transactions; Lawyering and Legal Reasoning; Information Technology and the Law; Environmental Law; and Professional Responsibilities.

Brandon joined Gathings Law in 2009 as a law clerk and became an associate with the firm in October of 2011. He is currently a member of the Alabama Bar Association and Birmingham Bar Association. He has been admitted to practice before all Alabama state courts, including the federal district courts in the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama.

Brandon is married to his loving wife of three years, Mallory, who is a kindergarten teacher at Inverness Elementary School in Shelby County. He has two very proud and loving parents, Allen and Kathy Zimmerman.
