Consulted Attorney 2024-2025Truely unacceptable as legal representation and as an attorney. Charged for every conversation and work not completed by the paralegal. Charged a client the same amount in retainer fee(s) plus 5% for conversation(s), lackluster transparency, & not concerned about the welfare, livelihood, and mental state for those who are going through trying times. Took advantage of someone who had nothing. Even severing ties with Ford was a $500 bill which is preposterous at best. As an attorney (a black one no less), one would expect that they take an oath to uphold the law, and fight morally for those who can't defend themselves. However, we're quick to charge for a phone call, but slothful to file anything short exponential costs. Attorney Ford gaffled and made 7K plus in free money. It would be wise to find a attorney that is more reputable (which there are an abundance) anything short of hiring a blind monkey wearing six inch Steilettos and a thong - do not retain. Truely disheartening. A push pen perpetrator promoting propaganda as opposed to prosperity. Like the old saying goes: "It's always us." Please seek other meaningful counsel. 'Vengeance is mine say the Lord. I will repay. In due time, their foot will slip." Deuteronomy 32:35

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
