Laura Nichols - Madison, AL

Laura, a proud Huntsville native, brings deep local roots and more than a decade of legal experience to the Legal Journeys team. After graduating from Sparkman High School, she earned her B.A. in Political Science, laying the groundwork for her passion for advocacy and public service. She then went on to obtain her law degree from the University of Mississippi, where she cultivated her interest in client-centered legal practice.

From 2012 to 2022, Laura dedicated her career to Family and Criminal Law, representing clients through some of life’s most challenging moments. Her years in these emotionally complex areas of law strengthened her commitment to compassionate guidance, clear communication, and thorough legal work—values that align closely with the mission of Legal Journeys.

Laura previously served as part of the Legal Journeys team before stepping away to care for her grandmother in Mississippi, a decision that reflects the same empathy and dedication she brings to her clients. Now, she returns to us as a full-time Drafting Attorney, where her attention to detail and broad legal background make her an invaluable resource in crafting high-quality wills, trusts, and estate planning documents.

When she isn’t drafting thoughtful and precise legal instruments, Laura enjoys life in the Huntsville area with her Welsh Terrier, Ozzie, who keeps her on her toes and is always ready for the next adventure.
