Laura Barson - Anchorage, AK

Laura Barson is a civil litigator and regulatory attorney at Dillon Findley & Simonian P.C., drawing on more than fifteen years of experience in administrative, regulatory, and civil defense matters. She previously served as Chief Administrative Law Judge at the Regulatory Commission of Alaska, where she addressed high‑impact policy issues affecting telecommunications, natural gas distribution and storage, and crude oil and natural gas pipelines.

Her earlier career focused on civil defense litigation, where she represented insured and self‑insured clients at Hozubin Moberly & Associates and Lynch & Associates. Her practice spanned general, hospitality/liquor, product, premises, and professional liability; medical malpractice; automotive, trucking, and transportation; construction defect; and insurance coverage and bad faith.

Laura is a member of the Alaska Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska. She earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, a background that informs her ability to assess financial exposure, litigation risk, and the economic impacts of regulatory decisions.
