Overview

Helping Families Move Forward with Confidence

I am an Associate Attorney at Donaldson Cunningham, P.C., where I focus exclusively on family law. I represent clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, legal decision-making, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, paternity actions, modifications, and relocation disputes.

I understand that family law issues often arise during some of the most difficult and uncertain periods in a person's life. My goal is to help clients navigate those challenges with clear communication, practical advice, and strong advocacy. Whether a case can be resolved through negotiation or requires litigation, I am committed to helping my clients protect what matters most and move forward with confidence.

A Calling to Advocate for Children and Families

My path to family law was shaped by both personal experience and my professional background. Growing up, I watched a close family member navigate the criminal justice system, which sparked my early interest in the law and led me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice, with a certificate in Homeland Security, from Arizona State University.

As my education continued, I became increasingly aware of the ways legal systems affect individuals, families, and communities. I earned a Master of Arts in Social Justice and Human Rights from Arizona State University, where I further developed my passion for advocacy and public service.

Following graduate school, I worked as an Adult Probation Officer for Maricopa County. In that role, I met people from all walks of life and gained valuable insight into the challenges many families face. Through those experiences, I saw firsthand how childhood trauma can shape a person's future and became determined to pursue a career dedicated to supporting and protecting children and families.

Building a Foundation in Family Law

I knew family law was the right fit for me almost immediately. While attending the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona, I began working as a law clerk at a family law firm in Tucson. Within my first week, I knew I had found the area of law where I wanted to build my career.

During law school, I served as a Limited Practice Attorney in the Child and Family Law Clinic and worked with the Maricopa Office of the Public Advocate on juvenile dependency matters. I was also honored to serve as Senior Managing Editor of the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law and as a Fellow of the Family and Juvenile Law Association.

After earning my law degree in 2025 and becoming licensed to practice in Arizona, I continued my work in family law before returning to the Valley, where I was born and raised. Being back in the community where my roots are gives me an even greater appreciation for the clients and families I serve.

Settlement When Possible. Litigation When Necessary.

I believe that most family law matters benefit from thoughtful negotiation and practical problem-solving. Reaching a well-crafted agreement can often save families significant emotional and financial stress.

At the same time, not every dispute can be resolved through settlement. When litigation becomes necessary, I am prepared to advocate vigorously for my clients and their goals. I approach every case with thorough preparation, attention to detail, and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcome under the circumstances.

Beyond the Office

Outside of my legal practice, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog, Mars. As someone who was born and raised in the Valley, I am grateful to serve the community that helped shape who I am today.

Family law cases involve more than legal issues alone. They involve real people, real challenges, and the future of the families involved. I am committed to helping clients find solutions that allow them and their children to build a stronger path forward.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
