Hired Attorney 2024My case never moved from where it started the whole 10 months with brad as my attorney. He recieved 9000$ and then withdrewl from my case because "he's going to be the next pinal county attorney". So I ask where my money went and he sends an invoice charging me over a thousand dollars for the day I dropped off a 5000$ payment to him. Another 1200$ to drop off my case files to him. Literally spent 10 minutes in the office and he charged me that much to do that? Then to justify the rest of my money he charged me for any and every email sent between us. Although they were not correct according to my email records. On top of that the day he withdrawls from my case which was 2 days prior to my next hearing he gives me the wrong date of my hearing. So ended up with a warrant and was arrested. for 2 days I sat in jail and had to spend more of my money to get out on a bond. All because he obviously does not care for his clients best interest what So ever. No ethical morals. He can careless. So I've decided to show proof of his negligence in my case and sue him for my money and hopefully more then just that considering it took 2 days of my life in jail. So I hope this does not affect his election for county attorney. Would never recommend this attorney to anyone!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
