Hired Attorney 2024-2025Caroline Goldman represented me in a simple contract case. Boy did she screw it up. I gave her all the evidence to win the case in court but she failed to submit it all into court. I lost the case because of her and now I owe 300,000 dollars when she told me she could get me 200,000 dollars. Boy what a difference. She just can not tell the truth . Shop around

Hired Attorney 2024-2025I hired this attorney for my divorce. She impressed me after dealing with her own divorce to Mark d goldman. Unfortunately she did not do a very good job I think she gets confused very easily. The judge didn't like her and her arguments fell on deaf ears with the court. I would ship around

Hired Attorney 2019I hired this attorney awhile back and it was the wrong move on my part. She just didn't grasp the legal issues well and she presented herself poorly in court. She made promises up front that she would win the case but nothing she said came true. I would shop around

Hired Attorney 2018-2019I was deeply disappointed in this attorney and the services provided. she is slow to grasp the heart of a case and is very distant when asked specific question on my case. she drinks during the day which does not bother me but in court it is inappropriate. she just keeps billing and billing you for no good reason at all... shop around. she knows very little about real estate in arizona

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
