Attorney Information

Overview

I was born in Reno, Nevada on July 17, 1983. My parents divorced when I was 3, so I have experienced the turmoil between divorcing partners from a very early age. I eventually decided that it was best for me to live with my father, so I moved to Heber Springs, Arkanas when I was 12 and have remained in Arkansas since. I attented Heber Springs High School and graduated in 2001, before moving to Jonesboro, Arkansas to attend college at Arkansas State University. In 2009, I graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and minors in Business Management and Marketing. I earned my Juris Doctorate from the William Bowen School of Law in Little Rock in 2013, where I graduated with Honors. During law school, I clerked for three years at the Arkansas State Supreme Court Office of the Clerk.

In addition to being an Arkansas licensed attorney, I am currently a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard, and have served since August of 2004. I have held multiple different positions in the military as both an enlisted Soldier and a Commissioned Officer. I have held the Military Occupational Specialties of a Legal Specialist and Signal Support Specialists as an enlisted Soldier, and served as an Intelligence Officer and Maintenance Officer while a Commissioned Officer. I am a veteran and have been deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from July 2006 to October 2007.

I have a wonderful family and am married to my beautiful wife, Bridget, and we have two sons, Aaden Jack and William Daniel (Liam). When not practicing law, my interests include activities with my family, coaching my sons baseball teams, sports, exercise, and running.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
