Attorney Information

Overview

Attorney Murad Elsaidi graduated summa cum laude (highest honors) from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and then attended law school where he received experience externing at the federal district court with Judge William Wilson of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. While in law school, he also published a legal research paper on domestic violence in the Muslim World Journal of Human Rights. His paper became one of the most read papers in the journal's history.

Murad has experienced first hand what it is like to be a petitioner in an immigration case. He married his wife in Yemen, and petitioned for an immigrant visa for his wife at a time when Yemen was going through violence and political turmoil in 2012. Although the US consulate in Yemen had closed, Murad managed to bring his wife to the United States by convincing the US consulate in Jordan to process his wife's case. Murad strategically chose to transfer the case to Jordan as Yemeni citizens did not have to obtain a visa to enter Jordan. By doing this, he managed to bring his wife sooner than had they waited for the consulate in Yemen to process the case. He currently lives with his wife and two daughters, Nora and Raina, in Little Rock.

Murad strives to find strategic solutions for his client's. Murad understands that petitioners and immigrants are eager to get their cases successfully processed carefully and efficiently.

Murad speaks both English and Arabic, and has helped several clients who can attest to his knowledge, competence and diligence in handling their cases. He teaches a course on comparative law every other semester at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and on occasion at the University of Central Arkansas. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, swimming, playing pool, and is a fan of Chelsea FC and the San Francisco 49ers.

Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
