I had a serious problem with my HOA: targeted harassment, selective enforcement, you name it. The board was out of control and I’d had enough. I’m a doctor, not a lawyer, and I don’t have time for games. So I went straight to someone I trust: a close friend of mine who’s been a judge in California for nearly 30 years. His advice? Simple. One, Read BAD HOA written by LS Carlson Law and then Two, book a consultation with their firm. That’s it. This is coming from a judge who’s personally used them and seen real results. I never ended up needing to retain them because the board backed off once they realized I wasn’t going to be steamrolled, LS Carlson Law is the real deal. Sharp, honest, strategic, and they actually care about homeowners. If you’re dealing with a rogue HOA, do yourself a favor read the book, call the firm, and don’t get pushed around.
