Amanda Lucas Thelen was born and raised in Bakersfield and returned to Kern County in 2014 after practicing law for a number of years in Sacramento and Los Angeles.

Ms. Thelen is a partner in the firm’s estate planning and transactional law practice group. Prior to focusing on estate planning and transactional matters, Ms. Thelen served as a well-respected and experienced trial attorney with the firm’s civil litigation group, where she specialized in the representation of physicians and other healthcare providers throughout the Central Valley, Central Coast, and Southern California areas. Ms. Thelen’s extensive background in handling civil litigation matters provides her with unique insight into how to best avoid future problems for her clients.

Ms. Thelen provides advice and services to her clients on a variety of estate planning matters, including the preparation of wills and trusts, trust administration, and related tax planning. Ms. Thelen also assists clients in general business matters including forming, managing, and dissolving business entities, preparing and reviewing contracts in business and real estate transactions, representing clients in business negotiations to secure favorable terms, and providing planning and strategic advice in a consultation role in a number of areas. Being born and raised in Bakersfield, Ms. Thelen understands the locale-specific challenges and issues that face her clients. She guides her clients through the complexities of their legal matters so that they can achieve successful results that align with their concerns and values. Ms. Thelen is deeply committed to excellence in the provision of legal services.
