Customer Reviews for The Law Offices of Breyon J. Davis

Hired Law firm 2020-2022Ms. Breyon is the best civil attorney I have ever worked with. From our first meeting, she explained everything to me in terms I could easy understand and was always very responsive when I had questions outside our meetings. She helped me settle my case at a reasonable price. I would recommend her for anyone looking for a knowledgeable attorney. I struggled to find a knowledgeable attorney in Los Angeles that I could trust and was reliable. I had hired several attorneys before her, and they always disappointed me because they were unprofessional and incompetent. My previous attorney failed to represent me a week before trial and after calling more than a dozen attorneys to help represent me in my trial hearing date that was in a week every attorney turned me away. I felt like it was the end of the world for me as I couldn’t find representation. Ms. Breyon gave me a phone consultation and the next day she took over my case. She got everything ready for my court date and moved forward with my case until we reached a reasonable settlement. I am beyond happy and thankful for Ms. Breyon’s attentiveness in helping me solve my case.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
