Jessica Rasmussen - Carlsbad, CA

Ms. Rasmussen joined Dillon Miller & Ahuja as an Associate in 2010 and practices civil and business litigation, including employment law issues.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Rasmussen worked as a student attorney at the University of San Diego’s Special Education Clinic where she interviewed, counseled, and represented special needs students of low-income families at meetings with school district personnel and Regional Center Staff. When matters could not be resolved by informal meeting, Ms. Rasmussen’s clinic duties included all stages of the grievance process: from drafting complaints to preparing cases for formal mediation and hearing before the Office of Administrative Hearings. During her time at the Special Education Clinic, Ms. Rasmussen received honors as the clinic’s highest performing student attorney and gained valuable experience in the unique and growing area of administrative law.

While in law school, Ms. Rasmussen participated and advanced in the school’s mock trial tournaments and volunteered with various pro bono programs, including the Guardianship and AIDS clinics, as well as the Student Hurricane Network.
