Overview
Mr. Harvey’s practice focuses on real estate litigation with an emphasis on title insurance matters. Mr. Harvey has successfully represented real estate agents, brokers, escrow companies, buyers, sellers, lenders, Lessors and Lessees, title companies and developers in both residential and commercial transaction disputes. He has litigated fraudulent conveyance and elder abuse claims related to real property. Mr. Harvey has briefed and successfully argued on appeal his defense of his escrow and title insurance clients.
Mr. Harvey brings a broad range of experience to the firm having represented clients in business and commercial disputes, contract disputes, and insurance coverage claims. Mr. Harvey has significant experience with partnership issues including dissolution of partnerships and sale of the partnership real property assets. In addition to his real estate matters, Mr. Harvey has represented clients in bankruptcy as debtors and in adversarial proceedings, personal injury, family, and criminal matters.
Mr. Harvey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and graduated with honors from California Western School of Law in 1991 where his studies were concentrated in real estate. Mr. Harvey has amassed a significant track record of gaining dismissals of lawsuits at the pleading stage. Mr. Harvey’s 28 years of legal experience is supplemented by his experience as an active licensed real estate salesperson from 1998-2000. Mr. Harvey obtained his California Real Estate Broker’s license in 2006.
