Tyler B. Thompson - Carlsbad, CA

Tyler B. Thompson joined Dillon, Miller, Ahuja & Boss, LLP as a partner in 2026. Mr. Thompson practices in the areas of professional liability, real estate, construction, development, employment, and general business litigation. Mr. Thompson’s practice has an emphasis on the defense of design professionals including architects and engineers, as well as real estate professionals, including brokers, agents, property managers, title insurers, escrow officers, appraisers, and home inspectors. Mr. Thompson has defended claims for breach of contract, negligence, alleged design and construction defects, fraud and misrepresentation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, workplace harassment, personal injury, and wrongful death.

In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Thompson consults with and advises his clients on issues of risk management including contract negotiation and resolving pre-litigation disputes.

While in law school, Mr. Thompson was a member of the school’s National Trial Team and a member of the San Diego Journal of Climate and Energy Law. Mr. Thompson also held two internships with the United States District Court for the Southern District of California in the chambers of the Honorable Judge Gonzalo P. Curiel and the Honorable Bernard G. Skomal.

Mr. Thompson was designated as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine each year since 2020 in the practice areas of professional liability and civil litigation.

In his free time Mr. Thompson enjoys all aspects of the outdoors, including hiking, fishing, surfing, and spending time with his family.
