BRIAN W. EASTON — CO-MANAGING PARTNER
Easton & Easton, LLP | Costa Mesa, California
EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND
Brian Easton has practiced law since 1995 and has spent the entire 29+ years of his career as an attorney working to help injured people. As Co-Managing Partner at Easton & Easton, Brian is primarily responsible for overseeing the firm's litigation department. Working alongside his father Doug and brothers Matt and Travis, Brian is part of a family of attorneys uniquely able to synergize their efforts to achieve exceptional results for their clients.
Brian received his B.A. degree Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University in 1992, and his Juris Doctor Cum Laude from Brigham Young University in 1995. He has been admitted to practice law in California since 1995 and is also admitted to practice before the Central and Southern Districts of the United States District Courts. Brian has argued cases before the California Court of Appeals and has tried cases in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, and San Bernardino Counties.
He has taught continuing education classes for the OC Bar Association and has mentored many young lawyers throughout his career. He has followed in his father's footsteps treating everyone with the utmost of respect, fighting for justice for his clients, and always practicing the highest standards of ethical conduct.
RESULTS & CASE HIGHLIGHTS*
Over the past 29+ years, Brian has been a central figure in many of Easton & Easton's most significant verdicts and settlements, and has obtained more than $200,000,000 for his clients. Notable results include:
- $32,000,000 policy limits settlement for a 71-year-old bicyclist struck by a cement truck — #1 Bicycle Accident Settlement in California in 2024 (TopVerdict.com)
- $26,000,000 settlement for a construction worker injured through site negligence while servicing a construction elevator — #1 Personal Injury Settlement in Los Angeles County in 2023 (TopVerdict.com)
- $22,500,000 settlement for a bicycle rider struck by a driver - the driver only had a $25,000 policy limit but because the driver was driving home within the course and scope of her job we were able to reach the larger settlement limit (2025).
- $20,000,000 for a client injured when a homeless woman fell 11 stories and landed on him in a hotel valet waiting area — Top 10 Personal Injury Settlement in the United States in 2019 (TopVerdict.com)
- $7,000,000 for an inebriated college student who fell more than two stories in a newly built campus auditorium
- $4 Million truck accident settlement
In each case, there were significant disputes on liability and comparative fault, yet Brian's undaunted efforts to litigate the matters ultimately prevailed in establishing the defendants' liability and led to the remarkable results for each of these seriously injured clients.
Representing injured people against large insurance companies, corporations, and other so-called "Goliaths" brings a special satisfaction to Brian. In a single recent 6-month period, Brian was able to obtain $2,000,000 for a gentleman who fell off an unsafe scaffold due to the fact that he put a ladder on top of the scaffold to make it higher; $1,250,000 for a woman who was in a T-Bone collision and required a neck fusion surgery; and $500,000 for a woman struck by a student riding a bicycle on a campus sidewalk. Each of the above claims were originally disputed by the defendants' insurance companies, but Brian's skill and hard work allowed him to provide justice and compensation to the injured and needy victims.
