Overview

Matt is a licensed attorney, real estate broker, and Certified Retail Real Estate Professional (CRRP). Prior to starting his own practice, Matt served as the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for an Orange County commercial real estate company. For over 12 years in-house, Matt handled the acquisition, leasing, management, and financing of numerous retail, multifamily, and resort properties throughout the United States. As the COO and corporate lawyer of a multi-state business handling acquisitions in excess of $204 Million and loans in excess of $360 Million, Matt cultivated an extensive knowledge of the ins and outs of business deals and financing.

In addition to years of doing business deals, Matt has been a litigator since 2005. Prior to working in-house, Matt was a partner in an Orange County business litigation firm, where he represented clients in actions involving wrongful termination, discrimination, breach of contract, wage and hour violations, premises liability, ADA violations, title disputes, and other litigation matters. Due to his unique skillsets and breadth of knowledge, Matt has also been called upon to serve as an expert witness in matters involving real estate and professional duties of care.
