Hired Attorney 2026James fallman is a previous DA and is now a public defender he is extreme anti 2nd amendment and will abuse his power to push his own agenda I fired him as a public defender and he refuses to acknowledge I have . He loves to talk about himself and how he's been a lawyer for 50 years in 3 states and is a judge in curry county gold beach Oregon. He is aggressive about forcing plea deals when a client wants to take a case to trial due to their innocence. When he doesn't get his way he files motions to have one his recommended DRs evaluate you so that they can try and claim you are insane and you lose your gun rights. This man has probably put 100s of innocent people behind bars to satisfy his own ego and agenda and in my opinion needs a class action suit brought up against him. I will be reporting him to all 3 states BAR associations and I encourage others that have been bullied by him to do the same I can be contacted hes Playing his with his clients lives he needs to be disbarred and held accountable! I only put half a star because you can't proceed otherwise.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
