Prior to forming Housh Tax Law, Chris was the head of the tax controversy and resolution practice group of a prominent Bay Area tax law firm where he mentored fellow attorneys and was responsible for case strategy of hundreds of tax matters.
Besides his roll-up-his-sleeves attitude, what sets Chris apart is that he is both a practicing tax attorney and an Enrolled Agent. A tax attorney who is also an Enrolled Agent offers superior tax advocacy due to their dual expertise. Enrolled Agents (EAs) are tax experts authorized to represent clients before the IRS, handling collections, appeals, audits, and tax preparation. Tax attorneys bring legal knowledge and can handle complex legal aspects of tax issues. This integrated approach enhances their ability to resolve tax problems efficiently for individuals and businesses.
In his free time, Chris enjoys talking and watching baseball with his son. They are avid San Francisco Giants Fans and Oakland Athletic Fans. He also enjoys live music, film study, and collecting wine.
