Attorney Information
Overview
Michelle Grimberg is an accomplished real estate and commercial litigation attorney with more than 19 years of experience representing individuals, corporations, investors, and developers in complex real estate and business matters. She has a proven record of success in high-stakes disputes involving property transactions, title and foreclosure issues, business transactions, commercial leases, and construction litigation.
At LawPLA, Michelle applies her deep knowledge of both real estate and business law to deliver practical, results-oriented solutions for clients. Whether negotiating intricate contracts or litigating multi-million-dollar disputes, she is known for her strategic thinking, persuasive advocacy, and ability to simplify complex legal issues into actionable strategies. Her clients value her steady, business-minded approach focusing on protecting assets, minimizing exposure, and optimizing outcomes.
Michelle has served as lead counsel in class action litigation, including multi-million-dollar employment and wage-and-hour disputes. She has successfully defended clients in both administrative and civil forums. Her experience spans state, federal, and bankruptcy courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, where she has achieved favorable outcomes on complex appellate matters.
She has first-chaired trials, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences across a range of real estate, business, and financial disputes. Before joining LawPLA, Michelle served as in-house counsel for a national logistics corporation, where she advised C-suite executives on real estate, contract, and vendor agreements, managed litigation, and implemented compliance systems that significantly reduced risk and legal exposure. Previously, she was a partner at Levene, Neale, Bender, Yoo & Brill LLP, where she led litigation teams handling complex real estate, bankruptcy, and commercial disputes. Her early experience at Loeb & Loeb and Bingham McCutchen included representing clients in class actions, employment, and administrative law matters.
In addition to her litigation practice, Michelle served as a Professor of Law at Glendale University College of Law, teaching corporate law, finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Her dual perspective as an educator and practitioner allows her to integrate academic precision with real-world strategy—helping clients and students alike navigate the intersection of law and business effectively.
Michelle’s commitment to excellence began early in her career. She served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable David G. Sills, Presiding Judge of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, where she gained valuable insight into judicial reasoning and appellate advocacy that continues to inform her litigation approach today.
A Certified Mediator, Michelle is recognized for her ability to resolve disputes efficiently through negotiation and mediation. She has been repeatedly named a “Rising Star” in peer surveys for her professionalism and results-driven practice.
Michelle is admitted to practice before all California state and federal courts, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Central, Northern, Eastern, and Southern Districts of California.
Fluent in Hebrew, Michelle brings a global perspective, strong communication skills, and an unwavering dedication to client success in every matter she handles.
