Customer Reviews for The Law Offices of C. Lee Hewitt

Hired Law firm 2015-2024I have worked with Deborah Hewitt regarding my divorce and custody matters. I found her online and got an appointment set right away to discuss my issues. The safety and trust I felt from her made me select her law firm and stick with them for all matters regarding my divorce and child custody. Her law firm is very reliable and communicated well, we got timely court appearances and her diligence helped me for my case. We have won every single time because of how she represented me in court and provided evidence when and where needed. I feel fully represented and heard with her, she connects and understand the whole situation and gives your case appropriate time and effort. She is very recognized in her field and has the best knowledge when it comes to family law. If she can handle a difficult ex like mine, she can take care of any business. Restraining order, civil harassment orders, domestic violence orders, child custody and protection orders, complex family matters, divorce and settlement I have gone through all these with her support. I highly recommend Deborah Hewitt.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
