Cal Watkins represents employers in all aspects of labor relations and employment law, including collective bargaining, labor disputes, preventative counseling and training, employment contracts, employee discipline and discharge, discrimination, wrongful discharge, affirmative action, wage and hour, health and safety, personnel policies, and protection of confidential and trade secret information. Mr. Watkins has particular expertise in representing employers confronting highly competitive business conditions in a union environment and defending strike and boycott situations. A significant portion of Mr. Watkins' practice also focuses on labor and employment law implications in the purchase and sale of businesses. Mr. Watkins has substantial experience in successfully representing employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, Department of Labor Wage & Hour Division, National Labor Relations Board, California Agricultural Relations Board, California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.
