Isha Sharma - Fresno, CA

Ms. Sharma is a contract associate for DeMaria Law Firm. Ms. Sharma completed her Masters' Degree (LLM) at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in May 2020. Prior to this, Ms. Sharma had worked as an independent counsel where she practiced litigation, and as an in-house counsel in a privately held corporation. Later, Ms. Sharma worked as a Clinical Attorney with the New Business Community Law Clinic, Berkeley School of Law, where she helped in the establishment of various businesses formations and aided them with their legal issues. Ms. Sharma is fluent in Hindi and English.

While obtaining her LLM at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, Ms. Sharma was awarded pro-bono honors for her association with the Homelessness Clinic and the Berkeley Immigration Group. She also volunteered for the Berkeley CARES Act Small Business Project, where she helped businesses to apply for financial assistance and pursue PPP and EIDL schemes, SBA Loans and other payroll relief. In addition, while at UC Berkeley School of Law, Ms. Sharma extended pro bono support to Arch City Defenders from Stanford Law. Furthermore, Ms. Sharma worked as a Research Assistant for Mr. William Cooper, Vice President of Litigation and Compliance at Fortinet, and helped with his book which focused on the constitutional issues.

Before obtaining her LLM degree at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, Ms. Sharma graduated with a dual degree in Bachelors of Business Administration and Law from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, India. Thereafter, Ms. Sharma clerked with Hon. Justice Mr. G.S. Sistani at Delhi High Court. She was also associated with DDAC Foundation, a non-profit which aimed at imparting basic legal education to high school students. She also volunteered for the legal aid clinic at her law school and advised pro bono clients in various civil matters. Ms. Sharma cleared the New York Bar Exam in February 2021, and is currently provisionally admitted to practice law in state of California.
