Johnathan Vu - Glendale, CA

Johnathan Vu is an Associate Attorney at JLG Lawyers. He brings more than a decade of experience as an attorney, representing individuals and companies in entertainment and corporate matters, as well as civil litigation. His litigation experience spans all phases of a case, from inception through trial. Johnathan's practice now focuses on representing employees in employment litigation.

Prior to joining JLG Lawyers, Johnathan spent over eight years in entertainment and corporate practice. He previously served in-house in Business Affairs at Apple's exclusive advertising and content partner. He also served as outside counsel for prominent entertainment and technology companies and represented top social media talent. His work included advising on and negotiating production, licensing, sponsorship, management, and other complex commercial transactions.

Much of Johnathan's corporate work involved the intersection of media and emerging technology. He has negotiated landmark artificial intelligence sponsorships and custom artificial intelligence model development agreements for multinational technology and national media organizations.

Johnathan's background informs his approach to employment litigation, giving him a practical understanding of how businesses evaluate risk, approach negotiations, and make decisions when faced with legal claims. He leverages that perspective in his representation of employees, pursuing and enforcing their rights throughout the litigation process.

Johnathan earned his law degree from Trinity Law School, where he received the American Jurisprudence Award in Legal Research and Writing and was a semi-finalist in the Moot Court Competition. He earned his undergraduate degree from La Sierra University.

Outside of his legal practice, Johnathan is a former NCAA basketball player and actor who appeared in film, television, and theater before pursuing his legal career. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family.
