Overview
For over 25 years, Philip Schnayerson has been recognized as an exemplary practitioner of law by various publications and organizations. He has been listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" for over 30 years. San Francisco Magazine named him a "Super Lawyer." Oakland Magazine included him in "East Bay Best Lawyers in America." Mr. Schnayerson graduated from New York University School of Law, and subsequently moved to the west coast in order to assist in the set-up of the San Francisco Bail Project. In the early 1970's, he was a Public Defender for UC Berkeley students involved in protesting the Viet-Nam war. Mr. Schnayerson is a past president of the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, the largest state organization of criminal defense attorneys. In the span of his entire, 30-year career, Philip Schnayerson has represented defendants accused of crimes as varied as theft, illegal drugs, sex crimes, homicide, white collar crimes, and computer crimes both on the state and federal levels. As a result of this wide-ranging career, Mr. Schnayerson is very familiar with the courts, prosecutors, and other defense attorneys in all Bay Area and Southern California counties, as well as Hawaii and Nevada.
