Tom Chen - Industry, CA

Tom Chen focuses his practice mainly on Business Law and Business Law Transactions. Mr. Chen specializes in the establishment, maintenance, and growth of businesses and he advises companies of all sizes on various legal and business issues. He is also experienced in representing clients regarding a wide range of business litigation and transactional matters as well. Mr. Chen contributes to Wang IP Law Group, P.C. in his ability to develop new business while providing his clients with the most comprehensive support tailored to their individual needs.

Prior to joining Wang IP Law Group, P.C., Mr. Chen worked in the legal department for Optics Laboratory, a global healthcare company specializing in ophthalmic pharmaceuticals. Here, Mr. Chen developed his business skills by negotiating distributorship agreements, drafting contracts and responding to product safety and defect protocols. Mr. Chen is also knowledgeable in Immigration Law from his time working for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles. As a law clerk for the nonprofit, he learned to manage unusual immigration cases and communicate effectively with clients of limited English speaking ability.

Mr. Chen received his Bachelor of Science in Economics: Management Science from the University of California, San Diego and his Juris Doctorate with a certificate in Business Law from the Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California.

During law school, Mr. Chen was in the Order of the Coif honor society and graduated in the top 10% of his class. In addition to his scholastic achievements, Mr. Chen also fluently speaks, reads and writes Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese.
